I ordered this as a christmas present for my wife. The first one came with one broken post cap. We returned it and they sent us a replacement, so that was great service. Unfortunately, the second one came with a broke post cap as well. I used gorrila wood glue and a clamp to repair it and moved on. This is a decorative piece, not structural, so I wasn't worried about it.As for construction, it's of reasonable quality. It's easy to assemble and will get the job done. I am able to compare it to the DIY planter (and much larger) that I built for my wife last year. I know the quality is higher on the DIY planter and it's much more heavy duty. That said, for the price this is a good product. I would highly recommend treating or lining the inside before using it. This is a soft wood and the drain holes are not lined. Exposure to the elements, and constant moisture, will affect this box over time. PVC or galvanized phalanges will fit into the drain holes to protect them from water, and I used Flex Seal paint on the planter I built, which worked perfectly and held up well. I plan on doing the same with this planter to protect the wood inside the box. If you go this route, some caulk and a lining of some kind will be necessary, but will also extend the life of the product. Voice of experience about an additional liner/screen to preserve your soil from draining...we installed cheap outdoor carpet in our other planter before filling it with soil. This has worked flawlessly as it allows water to drain, but not the soil. All in all we are happy with this planter and it's the perfect accessory to the much larger planter I built last year. I would buy more of their products for my wife's gardening hobby.

I bought 4 of these--3 were fine -easy to put together and look good--the 4th had 2 broken knobs on top of the 2 leg pieces--the instructions said if need help contact Yaheetech--but no where in the literature is a place to contact them--I kept the defective one and glued the broken parts back on--mainly repacking and returning was more trouble than living with glued parts--

This was easy and relatively quick to assemble. Parts are well labeled and nicely packed. I liked it so much I bought another. You could build this yourself if you had the time and effort but why bother. It looks good and holds a lot of dirt.

One of the pieces was cracked when I got the planter, they took care of me and sent me a replacement part. I now have it filled with a nice mixture of garden soil and planted some swiss chard and onions.

This raised bed was easy to assemble. My 7&11 year old sons helped me as part of a summer gardening project. It will hold up to 6 bags of garden soil. We planted a tomato plant, cucumbers on a trellis, sweet basil and chocolate mint. Very easy to grow a small garden!

Ok, so it takes 2 people to put together. Make sure you have a mallet because you will have to pound the boards in to put it together. It takes patience, but once it's together it's sturdy. I use it for my lettuce and herbs. I would order another if I had space.

This was relatively easy to put together.I do wish it was sealed/painted so that I didn't need to do that before planting in it.Make sure that the side posts are put in tight or the bottom boards can wiggle out.

I wanted to see which would be better, make my own or try one of these elevated planter kits. This was not very much more expensive than making my own, and surely would be better made than anything my poor carpentry skills could manage. Not quite. This came with 2 really nice leg caps and 2 broken ones (1 was cracked, 1 was screwed in crooked). The cuts are not 100% straight, though I could bang it into shape, and in the end its straight enough if you don't look too close. Not all the pieces are labeled, but it was easy enough to put together. One of the bottom middle boards kept falling out of the grove, and needed an extra screw to hold it into place. I can replace the caps with ones that aren't cracked, but its annoying to have to replace or add to something I bought as a kit.I am still on the fence over whether to buy more, or just make do with a DIY planter. I do like the nice smell, pine, which I can't get locally, so I won't bother to return it. It looks nice enough when all put together but I did hope for a little higher quality.

Product was in good shape and was easy to assemble. Took only 10 min. There were two caps that were cracked in half out of the box. Planter is solid and of good quality.
