Have used Rain Bird products before. We got the timer & irrigation kit for potted plants on our deck. Kits seem complete. Putting together was a little tough. Installing fitting into main hose with tool was not the best. I opted to drill a small pilot hole & then inserted the fitting. The pre-assembled lines (sprayer/bubbler) were easier to install this way. Hose connections to fittings were tough. Obviously these need to be tight to not leak. Found soaking hoses in very hot water worked to soften them up enough to eventually get attached. Also used a Phillips screwdriver to help loosen up the hose stiffness. Yet to run the system bt based on others reviews, think we are good to go.

Had to review this Raindrip system!!!! This may be the best thing I've ever purchased!!!!! Every year I spend $100.00's of dollars on flowers and hanging baskets and I do REALLY well watering them for about a month and then I get lazy or I forget to water them. This system has been a total game changer for me and I will never live without it. I set it to water twice a day, once at 7 am and once at 7 pm and it drips for 30 minutes. I had to mess around with the timing to see what worked best but honestly my hanging baskets have never looked better and I didn't even have to lift a finger. I would Miracle grow them about once a month and dead head them when I could, but the fact that they were watered regularly made the biggest difference! I absolutely love this system! My husband installed it in about 20 minutes and it is super user friendly, there's even a video to watch if you don't want to read the directions! Best purchase ever!!!!

I have used this for FOUR summers to water my basil and tomatoes that I have in containers off the back deck. It has never failed me! I only have to change the batteries once per summer. I have had beautiful basil and tomatoes and let this do all the watering. It is very easy to set up and quick to pack up in the fall for use next spring. Excellent product!

If this is a kit I don’t understand why they don’t include the 25psi regulator which I had to buy separately.Oh and this leaks like crazy!!!! I mean it’s nice that I don’t have to constantly water but at the same time it’s wasting so much water. I had to put a bucket to catch the leaking water so I can reuse it. I’m going to have to try couple other things to see if I can fix it.

I got this for my mother since she has been into gardening alot in retirement. It could not have been easier to put together and run. I had pex cutters and used those to cut the lines, but it could also be achieved with scissors. You can also get different adapters to do different things and put them in the line. I picked up some fan spraying bits from the local hardware store. Her plants have been thriving, the timer is set just right to make sure that they get just enough moisture, didn't have to run any lines or anything special just some water hose and batteries. She loves to go out when the plants are getting misted and they have been doing better since we installed this. It is a great plug and play set it and forget it kinda product!

We work and travel a good bit often times leaving out beloved pepper plants and potted plants behind. I was paying a neighbor teen $5 per day to water. That gets expensive and I started to look for options. This kit was super easy to setup and test. Works wonderfully and I just returned from a 10 day trip not knowinh what to expect when I returned. San Antonio, TX summer heat are awful but the plants are healthy, lush green and I'm thrilled with this product. Amazing and I highly recommend.

I had priced these at the big box stores and thought they were expensive. When I saw the price on this one, I was somewhat doubtful of the quality. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. It was easy to install and has saved me so much time and makes it so easy to travel and not worry about my plants surviving me being gone. I water twice per day for 15 minutes each time. Highly recommend!

This is a great, simple watering system for a garden or potted plants. To set it up, simply cut pieces off the line with a scissors as you go, and insert the ends into the various fittings provided, using the anchors to fix them in place. Living in a very dry climate, I set it to water about an hour each day. Having said all of that, its capacity is pretty limited given the small diameter of the hose, so it may be a challenge to use with larger gardens. Set up 2 (or more) watering stations for larger, thirstier plants or for areas with multiple plants, ideally spaced a foot or so apart, to make the watering equivalent to using one waterer for smaller plants. Then just the timer accordingly. I don't 100% trust the timer just yet but I think it is working pretty well. As far as durability, it has only been a month so we will see.

This simple drip system meets my needs for watering the plants on our patio. It took about 30 minutes to set up (I just have half a dozen potted plants, all close together). I had to remove an existing backflow preventer from the faucet, and add a pressure regulator for the system to be fully functional. The pressure regulator can be purchased on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0049C5FZA/ref=dp_cerb_2?th=1) but can be easily found at the orange box store for less. The pressure regulator should really be included in the kit; if you read the reviews, many are complaining about dysfunctional drip emitters, which are caused by a lack of pressure regulation between the timer and the drip system. I also found that teflon tape was required for each of the screw on connections to prevent leaking. Other than that, the system is very simple to setup and works great.

Happy with this product. Bought to keep a raise vegetable garden watered while we were away for a week. No rain while we were gone and plants looked great when we got back. It claims that it senses rain and will not water if rain detected. I have seen it rain and this thing watering at the same time, so don't count on that feature. However, don't really have a problem with that.

Love Love love! this little starter drip irrigation kit. At this price anyone can run irrigation for up to 20 containers like a pro! I’ve watched lots of videos and wanted to give it a try without a huge expense up front. Instructions are detailed, videos if you’d like to watch. Everything you need is in the box including a very easy to use timer! I laid out the 1/4 inch tubing exactly where I needed it and then easily snipped the tubing with a regular scissors where I needed an emitter. It was a pretty warm day so the tubing and T pieces slid together almost effortlessly. Most of the installation is repetitive. Snip, T-piece, emitter, repeat. Not difficult at all. Great for 1 container or 20, easily customizable. I was able to run the tubing to 6 large containers on my patio and “T” off to also include 3 large tomato planters 6 feet away. Finished installation with leftover tubing and other small parts. Finally the test! Turned on the water and voila! It works like a dream come true! I almost cried I was so happy! I’m a master gardener with a LOT of containers, beds and a veggie garden composed of 100 grow bags. I spend hours a day in 90+ degree heat watering my gardens, no more! This is a life changer!I have converted most of my yard to drip irrigation and this was my favorite product and install so far! I will purchase another kit for myself and gifts for fellow gardeners that need a break from watering. If you have hanging baskets or containers this is a great kit to try.

Had this up and running within 45 minutes. I did purchase the pressure regulator and have had no problems at all. I live on a barrier island where it floods with saltwater a few times a season. Because of this I grow all of my vegetables in pots so I can move them if needed, but they always dried out terribly on a daily basis throughout July and August despite watering every morning. The rain drip system has done an amazing job preventing this. I have it set to run every 8 hours for 30 minutes. I did have to put 2 drips in some of the larger pots (8+ gallon), but one was enough for the smaller sizes. Use caution with self watering pots, on cooler days the water did not evaporate as quickly, collected in the tray and would eventually cause root rot had I not realised it and removed the tray. The timer is awesome, just know that the only way to make it run at a specific time is to set it at that time, for example; if you want it to drip at 6am every day for 60 minutes, you need to set it up at 6am, move the frequency dial from "reset" to 24hours, then set the duration from "reset" to 60 minutes. After that it does all the work. Highly recommended and at the current price point, I will happily buy it again.

Don’t you absolutely hate to be tied to watering your plants (potted or not) day after day? Well this Raindrip unit is the easiest to install and easiest to set timers we have ever had. Love this unit! We have our plants In planters timed by this device. We installed so we can decide to travel - walk off - and forget planter plants and not have to get neighbors to water. This is our second identical Raindrip unit and I would not purchase another type. We do disconnect the main unit before the weather turns to frost of freezing and drain the unit AND remove the batteries! However we have never had a problem with the water lines freezing and most of them are above ground running along hidden area of porch etc. I will say that sometimes I. Spring when I reconnect the unit the water lines have to “prime” do you may have to manually run the unit a little bit until the lines refill with water. Truly this is an install, forget, and enjoy unit. Love it!

The timer on this is working well and it's a good solution for a deck where you might not have access to your standard drip irrigation. Our deck is very high and we happen to have a water spigot up on the second floor so this works well for us. However; the tubing is not as good as what I can buy separately. And the emitters were not working consistently. Some would spew out water while others were barely dripping. I ended up trashing the whole layout and bought my own supplies and re-did everything. Now it's working better. The instructions say to not put more than 20 emitters on the system, but I have closer to 30 and 8 of those are 1 gallon drippers. Everything seems to be working just fine.

I held off on purchasing this type of thing for several years because I was afraid it would be difficult to install. I was wrong. It was EASY. It also works very well. Does exactly what I expected. FWIW, I have it set to run once every 24 hrs for 3 minutes. That seems to be enough for my hanging baskets. Maybe if it get hotter I'll crank it up a bit. Very happy with this purchase.

I ended up buying two after I used the first one a few weeks. Plenty of parts and hose to set up just about anything, then reconfigure if needed. The timer is sweet so that I never burn my plants. My tomatoes, veggies and herbs got so big on my patio after being gone a week that I had to move them. Sorry if the picture is sideways...that's one big pot with 4 tomato plants plus herbs; 3 containers with tomatoes, peppers, spinach/kale, and herbs; and squash in another plus a couple bean plants all on one system. I saw comments about people buying a pressure reducer but I had no issues...just used a splitter at the faucet so I can still connect a hose, then turned down the drip system...no issues with either of my systems.

Other automatic systems are so complicated to program, with "push this button for five seconds, now that one twice, etc". This system (Rain Drip) is so easy to program and easy to change. I ordered three sets and plan to order three more. (We have lots of locations with planings.) I was able to hide the tubing under the deck and bring it up through a small hole next to the planter, I also ran some overhead too for hanging pots and some under a railing. It all looks good. I plan to use the new ones for heirloom tomato plants. It is best not to get a lot of water on their leaves, as it promotes blight. Frankly, I have used a lot of automatic systems over the past 50 years and I like this one the best.

For the price you can't get the timer much cheaper. You also get a bunch of drip nozzles, I did end up getting more, but I knew I would have to because I mainly bought the product for the timer. The Raindrip was easy to install, I used it around the outside of my small house. I connected the Timer, stretched out the hose, used the included cable type wall mounts. After the line was on the wall I just walked around where the hose was, and cut the hose wherever there was a plant to water, then I inserted the T-nipples and installed a hose cut to the desired length. I read some of the reviews that said it leaked, I didn't have this problem. I live in south Alabama so not that cold. Hope it works as well for you!

When you're missing the end cap from a drip system, that system is useless. I could not find a video on how to set up the Raindrip Container Drip System. There were photographs of some of the parts, not all, with the product. It explained by missing a few steps how to set it up because it tried to cover all products and that is not effective communication. Each product is unique. Which is how I thought another piece, which I still can't identify, was the end cap, but it is just a hollow 1/2 tube. No idea what you use it for. I also cannot find an end cap in my small community in Hawaii, so I have written to the manufacturer, hoping to hear a reply. Their website says they answer the phone 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and obviously they do not. I finally figured how to install the drip system, got to the very end, which is attaching the end cap, and now I can't use it. :(

This was my first drip system to set up and use. I give 4 stars based on the following:Pros1. Easy to set up, all I needed was a pair of scissors to cut the tubing and a hammer to secure the tube clamps. Did not have to preheat the tubing, just pushed in the barbed connectors into the tubing with my bare fingers and everything worked just fine.2. Total time to set up for 6 pots spread around my patio was about 1 hour, which involved running a tube up and over my garage door. Without that step, would have been more like 20-30 minutes.3. Timer was easy to figure out and start using right away.4. Plenty of tees, elbows and emitters.Cons1. Not nearly enough tubing clamps provided. I had to borrow from my hardware stash to secure about 20 ft of tubing, putting a clamp every 18 inches or so. Also there are not as many stakes as there are emitters. I feel there should be a one-to-one ratio of those.2. The drip rate that comes out is not adjustable. So because I have different size pots, I had to put 3 drip emitters in a large 20" diameter pot, while a smaller 8" diameter pot only gets 1 emitter. Even with that, the 8" pot saucer overflows after a watering cycle, while the larger pot's saucer doesn't even fill up. I am going to replace them with adjustable rate heads so I can balance the system.3. The drip tends to go straight down through the high-quality potting soil in my pots, and does not soak sideways very well. I expected more even distribution side-to-side. I am going to try out some "bubbler" type heads to see if that gives me better coverage.

I will say that the timer with my original shipment was defective--but I believe that is probably unusual by looking at the reviews. In any case, I filled out a return, requested a replacement and received the replacement shipment the second day--obviously processed before I got the return to the UPS store. I appreciated the prompt attention and the replacement worked as expected. Installation took me more than 20 minutes but it was very straightforward and simple. I would suggest ordering a pressure regulator and a Y connector if you need them because they are not included. I love the freedom of not having to babysit my plants.

I hooked this up in about an hour and it works great. You just screw it into a spigot outside and then use the plastic tubing and run it to any outdoor pots or hanging baskets. Then cut it at the bottom of each pot and add a line up to the pot and add little drip emitters. It's very easy - no tools other than a pair of scissors required. Make sure you really twist the little emitters on - I didn't do a great job on one of them and it popped off - but that was my own fault. Then you'll have to play around with how long to water the plants until you find the right length of time for the time of year, and adjust as different seasons hit. I had a whole automatic system for my outdoor pots in about 20 minutes.

We live at altitude so the sun plays havoc with our flowers. I would get excited about having flowers and would water them in the morning soon after planting them. As the season progressed, I became less enthused and would water sporadically resulting in cooked plants. A Parks and Rec guy that I work with recommended these systems to me. I was sold when he mentioned how easy they were to install (and how inexpensive too.) I have purchased two sets: one for my front barrels and another for the back deck pots. Awesome! Set them and let them do the work. Our flowers have thrived throughout our dry summer. I tell everyone who comments on the flowers about this product. Where has this been all my life!!

Works well. For it to work properly you will need the following in addition to the Raindrip kit -1) 25 psi regulator if you have good tap water pressure. Even using a 50 ft hose won't drop the pressure by much and the kit won't work at high pressures.2) petroleum jelly . I use a little bit to coat the hose threads , regulator threads, and timer threads to stop leaks. I DO NOT use it on the tubing.Be prepared for sore fingers. And don't forget to use fresh batteries in the timer, turn on the faucet and use the manual setting for testing. I will update this review over time.

I’ll start by discussing the Pros is this item. It is easy to set up. Only need scissors to cut the tubing for feeder lines. Took me about 2 hours or so to do 18 pots. I have a larger area. The concept is amazing and the fact that it comes with a timer is a bonus. Cost is about average, compared to similar products. Perfect if all of your pots are about the same size and need about the same amount of water. And it theoretically will save me an hour or more a day of watering as well as countless plants that haven’t survived a weekend trip. It’s nice to know the plants are getting water while I’m gone.Customer sevice was helpful as wellNow for the cons:I have a variety sized pots, ranging from small hanging 8” to large 80# pots. In order to get enough water to the large pots, I have to almost flood my smaller pots. Of course, in hindsight, i should’ve considered that to begin with. This particular kit does not have different sized nozzle tips. It only comes with .5 gal/hr tips. On the plus side, i called customer service and they are sending me 10 2 gal/hr tips at no cost. The set up DOES NOT work properly if you remove the tips. Not enough pressure for a larger set up. I tried everything to get around needing different sized end pieces. The connectors for the main line and the feeder lines are plastic, which seems to be of good quality. But, don’t think it’s going to be easy to just simply change a couple connections around. It’s pretty secure. Which could also be a PRO, if you don’t make any errors :-)Consider what you’re application is before purchasing a kit. Just because it says container and pot, doesn’t mean it’s the correct product for optimal use. I should’ve gotten one with different nozzle tips for different gal/hr release. I give four stars because the kit title and images are very misleading. I have about four hours invested in mine so far. That’s including brain storming and trial and error to find a way to make this work for my application.

I only used it for 4 weeks for vacation. It does the job (waters) But many connections drip water, even attachment to the faucet leaks (it's all plastic), if you screw the plastic connector to the faucet really tight to prevent leaking, it's impossible to remove the plastic attachment in a month or so. Try using plumber's tape maybe? Also, get an additional Y connector(one pipe for timer, 1 pipe for regular hose) before installing the timer, otherwise it will be a big headache to unscrewthe timer in order to use a regular hose (let's say you need to spray-clean your patio...?). If it didn't leak and left hard to remove water residue all over my terracotta tiles, I would give it more stars. Also, it delivers much less water to the farther end if the hose, so I recommend running a 2d parallel pipe if you have a bigger pot at the farther end. ATTENTION! Do not turn the faucet all the way open, if you have good water pressure in your water pioes, the timer is designed to handle much lower pressure than inside normal residential water pipes.

1) Get the PSI regulator as all other reviews suggest. (Its cheap)2) Get/use a Staple gun for securing with U-shaped staples. (Especially for hanging baskets)3) Wrap the control box in a zip-lock and clamp/tape off to prevent water from ruining it. (Especially if your faucet drips/sprays)4) Pick up extra tubing because it’s always great to have extra if you decide to add more plants or rearrange the system (It’s still pretty cheap.)5) Enjoy this the peace and easy this small little wonder provides for you. Talk about life changing. Also, you can always upgrade the control to something more sophisticated if you ready get nuts with your tubing and accessories.

I did not like the instructions. It was mostly graphic and expected you to figure it out like but didn’t show what parts were used the graphics. For the timer, it does help to look up the video on YouTube. So it was like a puzzle. That part was what took the longest. The hooks they include in the kit does not go into brick or concrete so I used Command Strips (Christmas light version) to hold the tubing. It took me about an hour to get the tubing cut and pieced together. But after everything was up and running, it’s so fantastic! No excessive water used and Consistent watering! I’m very happy.

This is my second kit. I know these say they are for hanging gardens, but someone else said they used them for their yard and sense I don't have that many plants that I need watered in my yard, I have one that does my left yard and now one that does my right yard. It works so well. Especially because the two yards get different amounts of light and need different watering schedules. I love this watering system. It has been so dependable for me and my plants have absolutely thrived with it. Then too, living in the desert the water bill can be outrageously high if you aren't careful, but with this system my water bill is kept to a minimum.

We bought the Raindrip system because a friend has it and likes it. We like it, too, although there are a few disadvantages. First, the Y connector with dual shut off, which we bought separately, turned out to be defective. Second, this system pretty much does what is claimed, but it takes more than 20 minutes to set up! However, once you get it laid out and figured out, it goes pretty quickly. The only other problem is that the 1/4' hose, which provides enough water to about 18 plants on our deck, has a mind of its own, and will not always lie in the path you want it to follow. The timer works fine, although it's perhaps a bit complicated on first examination. However, after a little experimentation, the system works well and we are quite pleased with it.

If I had 10 pots lined up in a straight row all at the same height I could set it up in 20 minutes like the video says. However, I have many pots, at different heights, some behind others, and full of foliage. So it took considerably longer (days) to install 2 kits to cover the containers on my deck. I used a splitter to attach the 2 timers to my faucet. It was the bending, stooping, crawling, reaching, climbing, ladder work etc to thread the 1/4" tubing through my containers that was hard and time consuming. I had to use near to boiling water to soften the tubing enough to attach the t's, connectors, and dripper pieces to the tubing. I put boiling water in an insulated travel mug w/a wide enough mouth to dip the tube ending in for 20 seconds, then push the connecting piece onto the hose end. If you buy more drippers, make sure they are "in-line drippers", not "end drippers". I had to correct that mistake which was all my own. I wanted my drippers to come on @ 6am once every 24 hours. So I had to get up @ 6am to install and initially start the timer settings. If the timer had a clock, it would eliminate that inconvenience. In praise of the product's virtues, it is simple and doesn't require special tools or expertise. The parts are well made. It's flexible enough to conform to each customer's garden particulars. It will insure regular watering and save my time for other pursuits. I recommend it to others. I would buy it again.

I wanted another timer and a few other things, and the contents of this set looked right for what I wanted. If you need a timer, buying a set even if you don't need everything in it often seems like a better deal. The parts with it are generally fine. The stakes are much smaller and lighter than any others I have, but I found them a good size to use in a bunch of smaller herb pots I wanted to water.I like this timer, for my purposes it's more straightforward to set and less limited in settings than most I have used. Reliability, durability and battery life no opinion yet, only been a month. One bothersome thing is, when you set it it doesn't start immediately, but 24 hours later. At first I thought it wasn't working until I looked at the instructions more closely. Normally when I set something up like this I want it to start immediately so I can make sure everything is right and the time seems about right, not have to check back 24 hours later.

This kit is awesome, waters all the plants, if you just turn the hose on a 1/4 you know like less than half then you don't need to buy the pressure regulator with this, I have the hose connection on a trickle and it works slick, plants always have damp soil

I installed the Raindrip system before we left for our cabin for two weeks. Instead of relying on friends or family to water our hanging and potted plant on our deck I decided to try this system. It works perfectly. I set it for 30 minutes each day in the morning. When we got back from our cabin, to my relief, all the plants were thriving and beautiful. This also frees me up from watering them myself everyday. I also bought the water pressure regulator which maintains a 25psi, which was advised in a youtube video. That too was most helpful. For the record, I am an real customer and this is not an advertisement from Raindrip. Unlike so many other things in this world, this item does what it says it will. I'm very pleased. Dan from Mpls, MN

I love this kit! It took me about an hour or two to completely install all my tubing into my porch, but the results speak for themselves. I run it at about 5-15 minutes, 2x a day, at 8am and 8PM during the summer. My plants LOVE it. I also use a Miracle-Grow LiquaFeed universal system inline with the drip system and manually run that once every two weeks for about 5 minutes to kick my plants into hyper growth. This will be the second summer I use the kit on and I am still using the same batteries.

Third amendment to my review. This item is great when it works. Actually close to perfect. I bought two units. One is still working. The second died at around a month old while. Returned from vacation to find that $100 worth of hanging baskets were dead. I tested it, put in new batteries, tried it on manual, etc. The solenoid was not opening the valve. Well, I know enough about statistics to know that this one failure is not enough to draw conclusions, but it does seem from other reviews that I might not be the only one. Like many people I did not save the box. They have a web site, right? Raindrip.com. There is no number for customer support, only a way to contact sales, so I did. No response for several weeks. Back to google (searching for raindrip customer support). All results take me back to the same place, bt somewhere on the second page of results I find a link to dev.raindrip.com. Bingo. Maybe this was on the box, but it seems like there should be a link to it from the main web site. They are sending out a new one. Great. The thing is, this thing is so good for what it costs (when it works) that I will give it another shot. One star off for reliability concerns, one star for making it hard to search for customer support on the internet.

This drip irrigation system far exceeded my expectations. I ran it from my hose bib on the side of my house to a second floor balcony. I have five boston fern hanging baskets that are difficult to reach because of the balcony height. This was not a 20 minute install, as I had to run the hose in a way that I could hide it along my downspout up to the second floor. Then, I ran it along the top of the beam where my hanging baskets are hooked. I bought a kit with extra elbows, so I had enough to make all of the angle cuts. I set the system timer to go on once a day for 15 minutes. Because of the size of the baskets, I used two drip heads for each basket. When I finished installing (about two hours later - lots of up and down on a ladder), I turned the system to manual to test. No water came out! I called the number on the directions, and an actual person answered the phone and went through the trouble-shooting with me. Turns out I had a kink in the line along the downspout. The customer service rep even gave me a direct phone number to call him back. Once I fixed the kink, the system works great. The ferns are thriving, and I can travel on weekends without worrying my ferns will die in the excessive Georgia heat. I wish I knew about this option years ago. I liked it so much, I bought another kit to use on my front porch pots.

I LOVE this rain-drip system.....I wanted to install something to make watering my container garden pants while on vacation a success so ordered two of theses systems - one for the front container gardens and ones for the back of the house containers. They install easily and you can customize to where and how you have your containers positioned. I set my timer to come on in the early morning hours so the possibility of scorching hot water does not kill the plants when the black tubing is exposed to the all day HOT Virginia sun! The timer comes with an override "manual" mode so I can turn on if additional watering is needed. Because it has been so hot here in VA - I set mine to come on daily for 1 hour and that seems to be just right. In my larger containers I put two drip sticks. The directions explain this all as well. Did I day I LOVE this drip system!!!!

The package contained everything you need to setup a system but the documentation is very sparse. After installing the system I found the emitters (which are rated at 0.5 gph) were doing less than 1/10 of that rate. Something had clogged them up. I probably should have installed all the tubing, flushed it clean, and then installed the emitters. But I didn't see anything in the documentation to help me with that.In the end I through out all the emitters and bought a bunch of new adjustable emitters from Lowe's. The adjustable emitters allowed me to set the flow precisely for every plant and to account for change in height from the source. If I had to do it over again I would have purchased all the components from Lowe's, run a 1/2 main line and used the puncture fittings to run 1/4 inch branches.Since this is a starter kit I think most people will be satisfied with it. It's certainly a reasonable value.

Great product. Was a bit worried about the quality based on the price. The unit runs off of two AA batteries housed in the valve box. The setup is fairly straight forward and can be as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. If you have a lot of plants that need watering and want everything to be hidden then it is going to take more time than just running the lines out in the open. . . Only complaint is that they only give you 2-90° elbows, in my setup additional elbows would have been nice. They provide plenty of watering heads and tees but just 2 elbows. So if you are planning on getting this might want to grab some extra connection parts, or map out your layout to know what connections you need.

This product really works! I read ALOT of reviews before deciding on this product. I have 9 planter grow boxes and used 19 of the drippers (some containers had 1, 2, or 3 drippers per). Set up took longer than directions said (no big deal), but was sooooo easy! (Tip : definitely leave the tubing out in the sun to soften). Also, it's MUCH easier to assemble with fewer errors if you arrange your containers beforehand. DO NOT start randomly cutting tubing until you know your layout. The timer works great (Another tip : I read it may not hold up well in rainy weather, so I cut a ziploc baggy to fit around it and clipped it shut) and the manual watering and rain delay capabilities are awesome. I don't have any idea if my water source has a high or low psi, so I just proactively purchased the Raindrip psi regulator (all my drippers drip and drip consistently with it attached to the timer) so you may wanna consider that purchase too (it leaks a little, but the package clearly states it may or may not leak LOL) I am by no means an expert, but I read enough sh*t about drip irrigation for containers that I will definitely recommend it and if for some reason it fails, I would have no issues buying again because of good price and ease of install (all you need is scissors!!) P.S. I posted 2 pics of my setup for visuals.

Overall I am pleased with this product. The timer works great but you need to know that it does not start watering when you set itup. If you set it to water for a given number of min. once every 24hrs. it will start watering 24hrs. from that point. You can use the manual control to water now just have to remember to turn it back off. Not a big deal but it was not communicated very well on the printed instructions. Or maybe its just a guy thing, we never read the instructions do we.The only thing that I am not real happy with is that the drip heads keep popping out of the tubing and flooding my tomatoes. My water pressure does run a little high at times due to living on a poorly run rural water system. I would not recommend this product if you have high water pressures unless you have some way to regulate it. Other than that it works great and has made my life a lot easier, due to my work schedule I cant always be there when they need a drink.Update After a month with this system I changed the dripper heads out and put the ZFE adjustable irrigation sprinklers emitters on. These make a big difference!! They are fully adjustable and do not clog as much and if they do slow down you can just open them up a little to clear them out and turn them back down to your desired setting. This is the head it should have had on it to start with. I did not change my rating due to the timer, It has worked flawlessly so far and is worth the cost of the kit.

This watering system was great once I figured out that I needed a pressure regulator. Raindrip mentions the necessity for a pressure regulator with some of their other systems but not with this one.I was having problems with the drip emitters letting out almost no water at all and the "T" connectors leaking. I thought the emitters were bad or clogged, so I tried swapping them out to no avail. Finally after about a week of very little water reaching my plants, I happened to pop one of the emitters off of its tube while the system was running. Instantly, all of the other emitters started dripping away! The pressure had been too high for the emitters to operate correctly. That's right: paradoxically, having the water pressure too *high* will result in flow out of the drippers that is too *low*.I ran over to the hardware store, got a 25 psi water pressure regulator, and put it on the outlet side of the timer. Now all of my dripper emitters work wonderfully. The timer works great. No complaints about that. So, minus one star for not mentioning anywhere that a water pressure regulator is necessary.

Came quickly and included everything we expected. We bought two, one for the back yard and one for the front balcony. In the hot desert summer days, we're out there several times a day watering out hanging baskets and the boxes. Also, we had to get someone to come in to water if we went away...it's worse than having a pet! This solves that. A few tips, as we've had these (competing brands) in other places we've lived. First, The timers are fragile (they all are) where they fasten to the faucet. Buy a short hose...the kind that's about a 6" long with a little spring is ideal; this relieves the strain if anyone happens to bump the timer. Second, don't rush the installation. Plan it out carefully...measure twice cut once. For example, in hanging pots be sure that you set them up so that when the wind blows the pot the hose will not be pulled out. We'd give four stars as the price is excellent for what you get, but that fifth star would only come if this stands up for a few seasons use.
