I've been using this stuff for quite a while now, starting a couple years ago when my local garden supply stopped carrying the canna bio terra coco-peat blend. Mother Earth is more granular, where the canna was more long-fibred. I like the mother earth much better for seedlings and even for rooting cuttings because of the textural consistency.I've never had a single pest issue from this dirt so I'd wonder if reports of bugs were due to storage conditions at some point along the way.Yes it's got peat in in but it doesn't seem to sour badly over time like promix. The trick is to up-pot on a good schedule in any medium, and not have plants in way oversized pots that they aren't able to colonize, therefore letting the soil sit damp long enough to sour.I give a calcium supplement every week or so just out of caution because, COCO.Pretty happy overall. Also if you mix it half n half with composted leaf humus, ooooh that is NIIIIIICE.

I have always heard that growing with Coco makes your plants bigger and stronger, so I had to try it and see. I Love using this product. It goes along way, I got two bags of this and only ended up using one bag because it stretches out and fills the container quicker. I will use this more and more even for next grow season. so light.. fluffy, holds water great.. I recommend this to anyone wanting to grow stronger healthier plants.

This has amped up my growing game A LOT. Plants are growing stronger, faster and it's a definitely more forgiving option if you sometimes are not sure if you're overwatering. Runoff is not that easy to get, so definitely still provide some moisture to the roots, while never staying soaked for too long. Very light and fluffy. The mix with Perlite helps too. Just be aware the ideal PH for the water is closer to hydroponics, I did it wrong at first and I wish I knew better. I also supplemented with a Calcium and Magnesium blend for the first two weeks, as this has no nutrient intrinsic value. I'll buy it again!

Great product for indoor outdoor plants the only problem OVER PRICE you could find it at half the price on other places like I did.

This is a great soil for CBD and it’s cousin. Good mix of coco and perlite, drains well but hold just enough moisture. Have had good results with grow.

I ordered a bag of this a couple of weeks ago. I just ordered another one. This product is--while a tad pricey--light, airy, allows for good water absorption and, I can tell, isn't going to turn into a hard mass that roots can barely get through. Yet, it's able to hold moisture well even in the hot, dry climate where my container gardens must try to endure.I live in terror of those "rich, black" potting soils that quickly turn to hard clumps, barely allowing plants to survive, much less thrive, and work not because of soil quality but because they're filled full enough of fertilizer to allow short-term plant growth. This product has "quality" written all over it!

New grower and I haven't had a problem. I know a while back when I was reading reviews before I purchased this, someone mentioned that they were upset about the sediment output. I have found no matter what I use or what I'm growing, I like to handle and mix my soil up myself. Make sure you have enough drainage so you can see sediment. No big deal. Flush them out, leave the plants to dry a bit, do it again. No sediment, no problem. Return to regular programming the next day. Anyway, can I say I've had a ton of experience? No, it's my first grow. But, it really isn't an issue flushing out your soil. The entire process takes energy anyway. I had a budget issue in the middle of my grow, so I had to buy another block brand of coco and a separate bag of perlite. My seedlings are struggling. I'm grateful I have enough to purchase a bag or two today so I can readjust everyone again and hope for the best. All I can say is, for someone who's just started out, I haven't had any problems. I will continue using them for my veggies and herbs during these unfamiliar times.

Check your local grow store!!! Mother Earth Coco is my favorite by far so I am constantly using this stuff. Was in a pinch and bought two bags at just under $35 a piece. My local store is only $32 for TWO of the same size bags so as far as the product goes I would recommend and rate it at 5/5 but for the price point here its worth driving even a half hour to an hour to pick this stuff up locally and save yourself some serious money if you use it more than once.

Between packaging and quality, I have had no issues with this brand. I’ve only purchased once but the bag came intact, the cocofiber inside had no rocks or foreign smell.

Love this stuff. Perfect soiless medium. Technically a hydroponic way of growing. You cannot over water using this type of medium. Just stay vigilant with nutrients.

Works great with a 50/50 mix of Fox Farm soil
