This type of device is good to install weeks before you go on a trip to check that everything works well, because the life of my precious plants depends on that. (like I did). The manual does not say how much water it will give depending on the time, I take a timer and measuring cup to write down the time and the amount of water. Here I leave that table to those interested.I've been using it for a couple of months and it has never failed, and the good thing about this model is that you can use battery an outlet for double peace of mind. This is the amount of water that each plant will receive each time the machine is turned on depending on the time you program it.CUP1/4 = 45 SECONDS1/3 = 1:03 MINS1/2 = 1:30 MINS2/3 = 1:57 MINS3/4 = 2:15 MINS1CUP= 2.58 MINS1 1/4= 3:45 MINS1 1/3= 3:50 MINS1 1/2 = 4:23 MINS1 2/3 = 4:50 MINS2 CUP= 5:47 MINS

I had previously tried the ceramic self-watering things but it was difficult to control the water flow. Plus for several plants they came out to be more expensive than this little pump. I liked the idea to be able to actually control the water flow that this pump offered. And I was not disappointed! The pump was easy to set up (using the provided instructions) and allowed me to set the amount of water my plants get. It is easy to customize for your setup using the provided tubing etc. I would recommend getting the pump a little ahead of any travel so you can test it out to measure the amount of water that is used and figure out the right settings. Definitely recommend! I used it for a three week period so far and all of my plants look great.

This is the only auto-watering system I have ever had, and it is great for my needs. I set it up with 6 plants before going out of town for over a month. The plants have slightly different water needs, but I was able to find a setting that works well enough for all of them (water for 2 minutes every 9 days.)I found the instructions to be perfectly adequate and was able to program the unit quickly. The part that takes time is figuring out what settings are going to work best for your plants. I set up the entire system and placed the spikes in empty glasses so I could judge how much water comes out. I have never measured the amount of water that goes into my plants, so the info about ounces per minute are not super helpful to me, but are great to know if you measure your watering that way (thanks to other reviewers that did the work to figure this stuff out!) I have the pump feeding from a 5 gallon trash can at floor level. The pump itself is at the level of the plants, a couple feet above the water source. My only complaint is that I had to set a delay in order to make the program start at all. The delay feature is great and useful, because you can set it up in the evening to water in the morning (for example,) but the instructions clearly say you do not need to use the delay. This will probably lead people to not set a delay, and then think their unit doesn't work. After setting the system up with the actual plants, I kept an eye out to see that it actually worked on schedule (it did), and ended up changing the schedule and watching again (still worked). It is very quiet so you'll want to actually be near it and watch to know that it is working. So the lesson here is to start it up long BEFORE you leave it alone, so you can make sure it is functioning the way you want.

So this is one of the best inventions for plant parents! The first time I set everything up, I made the grave mistake of only having it water my plants every 15 days instead of daily (dumb mistake on my part). I literally nearly lost all of my bonsai trees but miraculously they held up after two weeks if no water. On my second trip, i did everything the right way by setting it up days before departing. It worked flawlessly!Just make sure you give yourself a few days to make adjustments. It sends out a lot more water than I initially expected. Highly recommended!

I've used this with great success to water a dozen plants on my balcony. Connecting to this seriously saves a huge amount of headache in watering your plants, and being able to have your plants get a little dribble every hour is almost certainly better than the typical daily or twice daily dump. It's easy enough to setup, though the included tubing does smell like cancer- considering I'd be eating the peppers grown from this system I dumped it for polyethylene (PE) tubes which are a far safer plastic and cheap. After over a year of use though, I did manage to snap the USB power connector clean off. It had become corroded, probably because I kept the device on the ground and occasional rain would seep in. This is almost certainly a user error, and to the pump's credit it continues to soldier on with battery power.I would suggest being cautious about moisture around the USB connector, and if you don't intend to unplug it, consider a bit of duct tape or other water-proofing measure around the cord you use at the connector.

I have a lot of indoor plants that need watering when I am traveling. This product gives me peace of mind now when I go on cruises or long trips like to Australia.I bought three of these and they really work well. I also use the drip emitters that they have at Lowes and Home Depot or Amazon in place of the tips that come with this product. Search for Axe Sickle set emitters and you will see what I mean. Also I don't bury the tips I leave them on top the plant surface due to the water being able to flow easier without and back pressure when their under the soil. You also really have to map out the plants you have in batches. Because when you select the amount of time to be watered, it has to match the water needs for all the plants on the line so they will need the same amount of water. In short, if you have huge plants, then you don't want to put a small plant in line with the big plants as they will all the watered the same amount of time and days. You may want some plants of get more or less water depending on type and size so be prepared to purchase more than one of these if you have many plants. I have about four - five plants per unit all with similar water needs batched together. However it is possible to regulate the amount of water given by tightening the head of the third party drip emitters, you just have to experiment with them. Good luck with your plants, glad to see this product on the market.

Its a neat ltl device.. theres no clock to it.time starts counting when you plug it in.no way to control how much water goes where with spikes supplied. I use it on 3 plants. Works great.had to play with it for 3 days dailing it in. I have 5 take offs water 3 plant. 1 spike in each small plant and 3 in a big pot. It runs twice a day 12 hours apart and works great. The water runs down the stakes and down the depth you placed the stake.it doesnt puddle on top of plant like some others did. I get fairly even coverage over the 5 take offs. Installed like a manifold.i have about a 3 foot lenght of hose with the 5 taps at the end with a 4 inch peice on the tail to keep back pressure and it works great..you can only adjust time pump runs and when but with that said. You can work it to fit your needs. I plan on adding a 6th take off just to return water to 5 gal bucket to act like a irragator so the water isnt just standing 24-7. Water seems to go bad without a ltl air i purchased to use when out of town for work or camping but after setting it up and running for a week i decided to use it 24-7. Its nice just adding water to bucket ever few days..def worth the time and money

I purchased the Moistenland automatic watering system to keep my plants watered while away for a weekend trip. This unit did exactly that and upon returning my plants looked just as healthy and thriving as they had before I left.Things to consider: Make sure you read the instructions carefully and pay attention to read-out when programming for usage. It is relatively simple to use ,however, you will need to take some time and find out how much water is dispersed by each mode and how that adds up over time. The seller even has a YouTube instruction video if you become really lost.Manual mode automatically kicks on when first plugged in and after the programmed timing has passed, the unit will automatically default to whatever the last programmed setting was and stay in that mode until changed. You'll also want to make sure you have a water reservoir that will hold the full amount of water you'll need while away. This should be positioned below the plants you intend to water to prevent gravity siphon and potential flooding.I needed roughly 1/2 gallon per day per each plant. I found that setting my watering time to the max setting 5F or (5 mins of continuous watering) every .5 hours (every 5 hours) I could achieve 1/2 gallon over a 24 hr period. After the initial testing I used all of the quality parts included to run 8 lines (2 per plant) for drip to my pots.Don't hesitate to buy this unit, the negative reviews I see seem to stem from lack of testing/proper programming before leaving for a trip.I would love to test and review the newer style LED which includes a Delay option not included in the model I am reviewing.

Was very skeptical since there’s many similar on Amazon. This one clearly takes the cake. It’s the only one I saw that doesn’t REQUIRE batteries to work. Who builds something that only takes batteries these days?!? I digress...I use this hooked up to a 5 gallon water jug. Instructions are in broken English but you can get the gist. It’s virtually stupid proof!I have 2 plants in a grow tent that I need to water. Needless to say, I don’t really WANT my house sitter having to open this thing at all, so knowing my plants will get water and be happy when I’m gone is worth the $50.

This thing is wonderful. It does just as it says and so far has worked reliably. Now I can travel for weeks and come home to living plants. One thing I now do is place my plants in a big catch tray. Then I set the irrigator to over water, letting the excess drain out the bottom of the pots into the catch basin. Previously I was trying to adjust the watering time and frequency to be perfect and without overflowing the small saucers under each plant. There was always one plant not getting enough and one plant overflowing it's catch saucer. Now I just give all the plants a thorough soaking (too much) and let the excess run out the bottom of the pots. Much simpler and it has worked well. The only downside is the hassle of moving the plants into a big, unsightly plastic storage tote catch basin. Make sure to set your pots on something so they don't soak in the runoff water.

I bought my first system last year and it has worked beautifully to keep my plants alive and happy when I am out of town. So I bought a second system last month—both moistenland, same system, but the second one was a “newer” version—and left for two weeks, just got back two days ago. The plants watered by the first system are doing great. The water-sensitive plants (mostly my culinary herbs) of those watered by the “newer” system are dead; the less sensitive plants are not particularly happy, but hanging in there. I don’t know what’s going on with the second system. It’s set up exactly the same way, and was set up at the same time, by the same person (me). I’ve reset it twice since I’ve been home, and I can say with certainty now that it only waters when I manually reset it—not according to the timer. If left alone, it keeps the timer set but does not actually function when it’s scheduled to. Not sure what to say... I love my first system, and my second system killed my plants. I guess maybe I’d tell people to make SURE to give yourself a few weeks before an extended leave to test each unit for yourself. If you get a good one, I think you’ll be very happy.

We purchased this product to water drip our plants while we were away on a 2-week vacation. Judging from the results it worked fine as all plants looked healthy. It as easy to program and to install. That was back in June. We did not used the water dripper again until late August when we were heading out again, only to find out it would not pump water at all. We emailed the company stating our case -- and disappointment. They quickly sent us a brand new and complete kit which we have used successfully several times.THE PROBLEM? Originally we wanted to give the plants a real good soaking every three days (easy to program). We believe pumping for 15 minutes is too long, and stresses the pump motor causing it overheat and to fail since the casing lacks good ventilation. (It was summer in Arizona) THE SOLUTION: Drill a few holes on the side of the casing and optionally place a mesh to keep critters out. The unit has functioned flawlessly since.

I finally found a self watering system that is affordable yet very reliable. The water pump is strong thus it distributed the water evenly to all drippers/pots. My current setup consist of 10 pots (7 very big pots and 3 smaller pot). The setup was easy and it has all the function that I need. I could setup to auto self water twice a day for duration of 10 minutes each & it does just what I setup for.Compare to the Claber Oasis that I also own, this device much cheaper (one third of the price) and definitely stronger and more reliable in term of water flow to the plants. This device has strong pump that could push the water up to 2 meters high and it has function to allow the user to set the desire duration of watering, for my case I set for 10 minutes, you could set 2 seconds to whatever minutes that you need.Even though this device does not come with water reservoir but you could easily get the water buckets from any hardware store, and they are very cheap.I am very please with this purchase.

I bought two of the Moistenland Model ML-DP1 and they seem to work fine. The only problem I had was that after I made sure I had the controller at a greater height than the water supply, as noted in the instructions, I did not realize that I also needed to make sure that the plants were also put at a greater height than the water supply or else the siphon effect will occur, as warned about by the manufacturer. I was quite puzzled at first as I took the batteries out after I flooded the floor, but the siphon effect occurred through the non-powered unit as well - this wasn't the fault of the controller of course, just non-adherence to basic physics principles (not so obvious I'm afraid). Also, to perform a manual watering, the display needs to be lit first, before initiating the manual water cycle (i.e., the unit needs to be powered up). Overall, these controllers are easy to program and it is a snap to build the hosing system; the drip emitters are pretty rudimentary but you could easily swap these out if you want something more advanced. The response to questions from the manufacturer is almost immediate. A good product!

This is the first indoor irrigation system I purchased that actually works. It is very easy to use, and very easy to set up. I don't just use it for travel, I also use it as a daily watering source for my plants. This ensures they get watered the proper amount all the time. It's easy enough to use that I recommended one two family members who are not so electronic savvy, and I find it very easy to use.As other reviewers have noted, you cannot have watering spikes at a lower height than the unit itself, or will siphon all of the water out.You could easily go a month without having to worry about watering your plants depending on the size of your bucket.

I thought this little thing would slowly drip....drip....drip, which I was fine with. I only need it to water a couple house plants. First time I turned this thing on, WOAH! This thing has juice!! ???? Granted, it's a small pump, but the 15ft of tubing I set up was full of water in less than 5sec.It took about 4min/half gallon.Comes with a cool clip to mount the unit ????Also comes with tubing, irrigation pieces to get started and a charger cable, very nice ????I had this thing up and running in no time, I will def buy more in the future!!I wish I had this years ago! Thanks for this great technology!

The system itself works great - easy to set up, program, etc. Both of my units, though, after a few weeks stopped pumping. Support was really great. I dealt with "andy," as many others have and he was very diligent working with me. To fix it, I unplugged the unit (I don't use batteries), plugged it back on, changed the routine by 1 second (since it stays in memory) and the pump was once again pumping. Don't know how often this really has to be done, but I am guessing it pertains more to people who have these things on, ready to go for many weeks, months at a time. (rather than the "use for 2 weeks, then put away until next week.")

"Do not put the water bucket in a position higher than the controller to avoid causing a siphon effect" should read "Do not put the water bucket in a position higher than THE SPIKES."Given that the unit is designed to clip to the top of the water bucket, the sentence as originally printed makes no sense.I placed the water bucket on a shelf above the plants, and after each pump shutoff, the water continued to flow, due to (you guessed it) siphon effect. The weight of the water in the tubes continued to pull new water from the bucket, even with the pump off. I moved the water bucket to the floor, approximately level with the spikes, and everything worked as advertised.I had one other problem: when "how often" is set to one day, the pump never comes on. I fixed it by setting "how often" to 12 hours and watering half the desired amount each time. Better for the plants, probably. It's important to install it and test it for a week or two before going away on vacation. Don't try installing it the night before you leave! It's not good for watering plants in grossly different sized pots. You can't put enough spikes in the big pots to make it right for all of them. I'm going to try adding some adjustable, non-pressure-compensating drippers to replace the spikes in the small pots. If anybody has tried this, please post.A good product that solves my problem elegantly. The tinkering was fun.

Product is great! I have a roof top deck on a house at the Jersey Shore. Gets hot in the summer as you may imagine. I've wanted to keep plants alive up there but I am only there during the weekend most weeks. I have this pump connected to a 5 gallon bucket kept out of the way under a side table. This thing waters 6 plants I have around the deck and has kept the plants looking great so far this summer.I have it setup to water for 1 minute every 6 hours which seems to do the trick. Plants are triving. I've experimented with Watering bottles and gravity fed drips systems in the past with little success plus they ruin the aesthetic of the deck. Nothing says junkyard like a bunch of wine bottles sticking out of things.I'm very satisfied. I have been running the pump off of batteries since it is outdoors and exposed. I enclosed the pump in a ziploc bag to protect it from the elements. So far so good. Thinking of getting a second pump for plants on a second deck. Really works well. Batteries have been running for about 6 weeks. Have not replaced them yet.

I purchased 3 of these to irrigate the 200+ plants in my greenhouse (waiting for this long winter to end). I will admit, programming it was not easy to understand, but now that I know how to do it, I do not fault the creators. It's difficult to explain as well. I did contact the owner - Andy - who was awesome in helping me with it - he even created a short video for me. He was very helpful. So, another 5 stars for customer service. My only issue is the maximum of 5 minutes of duration. It would be better to have a larger duration limit. It has taken me about a week and a half to determine the optimum duration/frequency for my application. Within the 1st few days, I realized I needed the third one, and ordered it. I definitely recommend you get this at least a week prior to actually needing it.Update: Thought it would be good to explain that most of my plants are in 3 inch pots, so I used 1/4 inch soaker hoses instead of the 1/4 inch plastic hose and drippers. That worked better for my application. I've also added some photos.

Bought this watering system in last December for a long vacation. Have used it continuously since to water an indoor winter garden.General set up - There are ~30 potted plants that I grow outdoors in summer. I store them in the basement in winter under timed grow lights on a three-tiered tray.Pros - To reach all 30 plants that are placed at different heights, I design an elaborate flow path that connects plants "IN PARALLEL" (as opposed to "in series"). With lots of trials and errors, this little pump, 2 minutes per day, is sufficient to deliver roughly equal amount of water to each plant. The control buttons on the pump are pretty straight forward. Although the instruction is not terribly clear, I don't find it necessary.Cons - It is tedious (and kinda tough) to connect tubings and spikes. It is even harder to dis-connect them. However, it's understandable because you want the connection to be water-tight. If you plan to irrigate a large number of plants, as I do, it is important to sketch out a flow diagram before you start. Otherwise, it is a pain to undo your mistakes. Furthermore, I do not like the spikes that come with this package. I purchased a different type from Amazon. This other type of spikes has a screw top that allows you to regulate water flow. This is important for me because I need to increase "resistance" (yes, it is like an electrical circuit) for the water flow to plants in the bottom tray so that enough water would reach the top tray. HomeDepot sells comparable tubing (but slightly stiffer and not as water tight).I use a 30 gallon tall garbage bin as water reservoir. This system works exceptionally well, after I adjusted the flow to each spike for a few weeks.

I have 4 plants needing 2 stakes each. The description and some reviews said this would handle that just fine. sorry to say I am very disappointed.Water trickles to the first 5 stakes, then drops off after that. By the 8th stake there is no flow at all.Furthermore, this drip feeder will create a channel allowing most of the water to drain straight through the pot without watering the plant.I bought different steaks hoping to be able to adjust flow and pressure but no luck. fresh batteries, and plugged into the usb outlet in case it needed full power. Still barely trickles out the stakes and won't feed past 10 ft of hose.I suppose if you're growing rosemary or some other tiny herb in a small pot it will feed them ok, but don't expect to keep your tomatoes watered and fed.

Great product I used it when I was gone for three months and came back all the plants were doing great. Some reviews say there may be siphoning. Yes it will if the UNIT is at plant level or higher. You MUST get the plants above the UNIT and water source. I elevated my plants on saw horses in the garage.I used a large 10 gallon black plastic tub from Home depot and after three months I came home, ½ was gone as predicted. Must calculate evaporation from bucket. Some reviews say it is hard to calibrate. It is all in the Math. Clean out the cob webs.Knowing how much we watered each weak on the average it not hard to figure out.I first used a two cup measuring cup and went thru a couple cycles to see how much it used.On Manual ½ cup (4 oz) in 3 minutes, Auto 99 seconds = ¼ (2 oz) cup water. BINGOWater every 3 days = 10 times a month. x 2 oz. = 20 oz. a month or 2 ½ cups per Plant per month.I water 10 plants = 200 oz. or 25 cups or 1 ½ gallons per month. We live in a moderate temp zone so watering will depend on you heat index.Set at Auto for 99 seconds for us.Have a happy vacation!

I bought this drip system to water plants while I travel, sometimes up to 3 weeks. It works as advertised which is very nice. The instructions are a little bit murky but playing around with it for a few minutes revealed the details I needed. I set it up with drip into a bucket and ran it for several days to confirm the settings and reproducibility of the amount of water delivered. Worked like a charm. I bought a 5 gal heavy duty plastic box with lid from Lowe's to hold the water and drilled a hole om the top for the tubing to the pump.

[ The trial that I have reported was very successful. For this decades old gardenia, I now use this seven pics, five minutes of water each time, for every four days. This gives the plant about 2500 mL of water each time for every four days. A large quantity of water each time allows me to further space out the frequency, which then allow the plant roots to breathe without the rot. This works Out so wonderfully, that after this recent vacation I am using additional systems to wire up nearly the entire house plants year round. I believe this will provide the convenience to me and the consistency to the plants. I will update you the future trial results if you’re interested]I just started to use this system over a week ago. The system delivers water just yes it is designed to. I have a very big Gardenia nearly 3 feet tall I have 5 feet in width. Initially, I set it to deliver 2500 mL water every day. Then that leaves start to fall. I modified to deliver the same amount of water every other day. Then I noticed overwatering from the bottom of the pot. I had to readjust for the same amount of water to be delivered every third day. I wars not confident weather this would be working. I contacted the company, and the response was always prompt and we had several subsequent discussions on my options. This company really cares about its customers. Now I am using five spikes to deliver 2500 mL of water Every three days. Automatic irrigation can be a huge help to my travel. This plant has followed me for decades. If my post is helpful to anyone, I will update as time goes.

Purchased mainly because life can get so hectic that watering plants is often overlooked. Setup can be daunting, all the pieces seem like a jigsaw puzzle, so it's good to map things out on paper prior to setup since the instructions leave much to be desired. To make it easy on your fingers, boil some hot water and use that to soften the hose when attaching the valves. Make sure the programmable unit & plants are above the water source, to avoid gravity siphoning water into your plants. After initial setup using the included parts, it was encouraging to see that this did water my plants for a month.Highly recommend testing in a sink or bathtub to verify all drips are working. Also, before going on vacation, experiment over several days to make sure it is not watering too much or too little. Use a clear container to verify that water is being pulled consistently. It took me a few weeks to figure what settings worked best for my own needs which was 26 seconds every 2 days. After making sure it worked over time, I upgraded using an expansion kit including drip sickles with output control and more cross valves. Now I have this unit setup to disperse water to 18 plants. I use water from water stores or dispensary machines since my local tap water can contain excess minerals and clog the drippers. For the same reason of avoiding clogging, I fertlize manually outside of this irrigation system. My own schematics have been included, and hopefully will provide some guidance for your own setup.

This was a life saver for me. I planned a long trip and do not have anyone who can come and water ALL my plants. Friends who are somewhat willing mean well, however they don't understand plant watering. I left 10 plants hooked up to the DIY system from Moistenland. It was very easy to set up. The directions were not difficult to follow. I did use a 5 gal bucket for a water source and the USB plug into the wall for power. A battery option is available however I planned on being away and did not want the batteries to die. I purchased some Orbit connectors that were advertised along with the system and I used the ones that came with the system. They all worked perfectly allowing me to piece together tubing of varying lengths and not dripping at the connections but in the appropriate places. As for the timer, I set it to water for about 30 sec every couple of days. This was more than enough for my orchids and african violets. I will probably set it for a little less the next time. However, the orchids and violets were VERY Happy when I returned after several weeks- They were close to being overwatered.

I am updating my review to five stars, since the manufacturer shipped me a unit that did NOT have a flawed chip; this unit (my third) works perfectly. This is a clever and helpful product, but on EACH of the two I purchased the interval timer did not work correctly. No matter if I set the interval for once a day, once every ten days, or once a month, the pump engaged at least once an hour, meaning that the water container would be emptied way too early.TWO of us read the instructions and did the programming separately on each of the two units. We watched the provided video and youtube videos --- the units did not function as intended. I suspect a batch of flawed chips in the manufacturing. Too bad, because this would have been a superb product otherwise. The people behind this product have agreed to send me a working and tested replacement, which shows integrity and confidence, and I will eagerly change the review to FIVE STARS if it works properly,

I personally think I made a good decision buying this. I have now had this for two months, so I have had a chance to test it out, including during a long weekend vacation in the heat wave of summer. I have some very expensive plants, including some Bonsai that need to be watered twice daily. I recommend the video by the other reviewer, which made it very clear how your program this thing. I really don’t like fussing with instruction manuals and complicated programming functions, and this is easy to set up and program. I came back after four days of a heat wave, and all my plants were alive and doing well, including the sensitive Bonsai. I keep most of my Bonsai outside, so I actually threaded the tubing through a crack in the window, and then I taped insulating tape around the very narrow crack. I have about 10 plants, indoors and outdoors, hooked up to this system. I am grateful to it because I have had a couple of health issues and hospital stays during my time recently, and I have not had to worry about my plants.

I am currently using this system in a greenhouse at a community a garden in which I have a table amongst 10. On my table I have approximately 15 plants (after expanding it since it only comes equipped to supply water for only 10 from the manufacturer) and it has been performing flawlessly for approx. 2 months now, which I will update in this review when something changes. I have a 55 gallon plastic drum for a reservoir next to my table and the unit is powered via a micro usb phone charger. Although it probably could supply water to maybe two more plants I've decided to purchase a second one to double my production since I still have adequate space for expansion.

I might increase the rating when I use it more, but so far, I'm on the fence. It is very much DIY and will take a bunch of testing and experimentation to know how well it's working. It's not clear to me how to make sure the right amount of water goes out each hose, or if plants that have shorter hoses are going to get a lot more water than long ones. Also was really hard to get the drip spikes onto the hose. I tried 4 times so far and broke one of the spikes trying to get it on.The basic functionality is definitely there, and the price was reasonable, but I feel like a little more instruction and ease of assembly would go a long way.I suspect when I have more time to play with it, I'd go up to 4 stars. Maybe even 5...

I love this little pump. It works great. I'm using it for for two purposes:1) Watering Plants2) Adding water to my chicken incubator to manage humidityOnce you understand how it works, then you can it works like a charm. There are two main settings:1) Pump Time: water pumped in seconds2) Interval Time: measured in hours (up to 12) or days (up to 30)And for every 4 seconds of pump time, the system pumps out approximately 1 ounce of water. So in my example with the chicken incubator, I needed 4 ounces of water added to the incubator daily. So my settings were as follows:Pump Time: 4 (4 means four seconds)Interval Time: 0.6 (0.6 means every six hours)Essentially, I pumped for 4 seconds, every 6 hours.4 seconds of pump time equals 1 ounce, so I'm pumping 1 ounce every 6 hours. So in 24 hours, I'm getting 4 ounces automatically pumped. Super cool! One less thing to manage :)The email customer support for this product was also very helpful and responsive.I recommend this product to anyone planting or needing to manage humidity in an incubator.

We used this to water while we were away for a month. It watered from 10 different ports which came with the set. You have to read the directions to figure out how to set it but it ran all month from one five gallon bucket of water. It was not plugged into the wall and these were new plant starts so we ran it a tiny bit like every other day. Everything looked beautiful when we returned and there was still a bit left in the bucket. I would definitely buy this again!

This little unit is awesome. Once you figure out how to use it (which doesn't take long), it's amazing. I love this thing. It saved my plants on a recent week long vacation. I've actually started just using this for all my normal watering sessions instead of a watering can because I can easily measure and evenly distribute the water with this unit. I use it with a 5 gallon bucket and it clips on to the side very nicely. I just drop the intake hose with filter down to the bottom and let it do it's thing.I find that it pumps out about 1 gallon every 9 minutes that it's running. I've used it with various configurations (different numbers of drippers, different numbers and lengths of hoses, etc.) and it stays around the 1 gallon per 9 minutes rate. I bought some different drippers to use instead of the ones it comes with because they are a bit finicky. They are certainly serviceable, no doubt about that, but I got a 50 pack of ones with adjustable heads that are just skinny vertical spikes and those work better in my opinion. All in all, I am VERY happy I bought this thing. I absolutely love it and I really can't imagine being without it now.

I have used one of the other automated pumps available here on Amazon but I like this one much better. Extremely easy to use, USB power so I don't have to worry about batteries and drip watering works better for my plants. Good quality parts at a great price.

Are you growing indoors or in a grow tent? Would you like to automate watering of one or many plants? Do you not want to change batteries all the time? If this sounds like you-- then this is your product. Here are a few tips from my recent install:The water pump clips onto the side of a bucket so you can use any sized water source. The included drippers are pretty lousy. Don't plan on using them-- instead, use any 1/4 inch drip emitter you would use in any other drip irrigation setup. For my indoor vegetable garden I found that a simple 1/2 GPH drip emitter was just right.Package includes a micro to regular USB cable-- for power. A power strip that accepts USB or a USB-to-wall plug is all you need.Programming is very simple and straightforward.

I purchased this item to water some plants while we were going on vacation. It arrived on time with plenty of hose and connectors to do several plants at the same time. It took me a little while to understand the set up instructions but the customer service was excellent, promptly replying to my email and even provided a video to help with the programing. The watering time was easy and adjustable from 1 second to 99 seconds. FYI…..1 minute on delivers about 1/2 litter of water. The watering interval was a little more difficult for me to understand. First off, if you want to water at 10 am in the morning, you must do the programming at 10am. The clock starts at the time you set up the program and is not adjustable. The interval button cycles first on hours then days so 0.1 waters every hour, 0.5 every 5 hours and so on up to 1.2 which is every 12 hours or twice a day. Then it advances by days, 1 is every day, 5 is every 5 days, up to 30 which is once every 30 days. I didn’t want to bother changing batteries so I used the USB cable provided and plug the unit into a standard 5 volt UBS wall charger. It’s also a good idea to place the unit at the same height as the plants to avoid the siphon effect and not stress the pump by having it pump up hill against gravity. All in all, this product worked great and we use it all the time now and never have to remember when to water or how much to use. I recommend this item to anyone who wants to keep their plants healthy whether they’re home or away.

My original review was bad because I didn’t like the programming functions. Andy, the owner in China immediately mailed me his apology and some instructions with a YouTube video. It turns out that I had done it right the first time. My problem is that the device doesn’t give any kind of cue or confirmation that it’s programmed and on. The display turns off after programming and you must wait for the interval to elapse in order to observe whether it’s working right. In my case, the watering time of 15 sec passed so quietly that I didn't notice it happened. It would help to have a beep like when setting a radio channel or an LED dedicated to indicate set. In other words, it’s almost too simple.

I have finally contacted Stoh for customer support. They fixed my problem with their product. it is now working. So I am revising myprevious review: "Unit does not work, does Stoh have a customer support line? I do not see one in the paperwork for the product.".The unit does work when it is programmed properly. So I will increase my star rating.I do have two problems:1 When you program it after just a few seconds (they say 5) all the lights go out and there is little indication that it is working until it waters on the next cycle. Since we water every other day the only way I know it's working is to mark the reservoir and check it after a few days and see if the water level has gone down. This is not great if trying to set it up just before leaving on vacation.2 There was no information what so ever on the instructions on how to contact the company for customer support. No email address, no chat reference (they say they have it), no telephone number (they do not have one because they are in China), no mailing address, they do not even have the company name on the document.I had to work my way back through Amazon to eventually contact them. When i did it was one of those internet email things with no indication when if ever you would hear back.Maybe 4 stars is too high.
