The first thing I noticed when I unpacked the garden box was the smell: real cedar planks. It’s not common to see that, but it was awesome.Second, when I began the assembly process, I was grateful for the screws that held up to assembly without stripping and causing trouble and making the job ten times harder—something that is not common with items ordered online these days. I cannot overstate how much easier this made the assembly, and I was impressed with how smoothly everything went together. The garden box itself is perfect, just what’s needed for starting a home garden. The back row provides enough depth to grow rooted vegetables like carrots or potatoes, while the tiers provide easy access to your plants while still being highly efficient and space saving.Because it’s made from real wood, it looks wonderful in our back yard, rather than a plastic eye-sore like so many similar garden boxes. I’d recommend this for anyone looking to maximize garden in a minimal space without sacrificing looks.Overall, this suited our needs perfectly and I look forward to harvesting our first veggies this spring! I will enjoy this purchase much in the days and years to come.

We just have a big yard but it is mostly on a hill so we dont have a place for a garden and this is going to work just great for that. It is quite a large size. You can get all kinds of veggies and herbs to grow. I have bad knees so having this elevated makes gardening still possible. It was pretty simple to put together. You will need a drill with a Phillips head bit. There are holes already pre-drilled in the corner connector pieces but the planks dont have any pilot holes so just using a screwdriver would be a little tricky, but there is only one screw size which makes assemble so simple. It seems to be quite sturdy and I can't wait til spring to get some plants going.

My husband and I have been wanting to start a garden especially since we have a nice big backyard and plenty of space for a raised garden bed planter to grow vegetables such as lettuce, zucchini, etc. With more time on our hands during this pandemic, we figured gardening would be fruitful and beneficial and it’ll give us something to tend to.This raised garden bed planter measures 98x26x20 inches and has a divider in the middle which allows you to separate the vegetation. Unfortunately, you can’t separate the two (2) boxes which would have been nice for versatility. This is long and narrow so make sure you have enough space. This took me about thirty (30) minutes to assemble by myself. The parts are clearly labeled and the instructions are pretty straight-forward to follow. It comes with all of the parts and tools needed, but I recommend using an electric drill to easily screw in the screws. Keep in mind that the bottom is hallow, so you should line the bottom with plastic liner or tarp to hold the soil. What’s most reminiscent about this planter is the wood smell out of the box which is very refreshing. This raised planter is beautiful and made of 100% natural fir wood which is supposed to be durable and rot and water resistant, but we’re considering treating the wood so that it doesn’t deteriorate fast, especially when it rains outdoors. This wood seems a lot thicker and sturdier than another planter that we have, so it’s made of high quality solid wood. This looks really nice in our backyard and we can’t wait to plant our vegetables!

This is a very nice raised garden bed. It comes with everything you need to put it together. The wood as you can see from the pictures are first rated and are a fir wood. It is treated for weather and will not fall apart, warp or splinter, but instead last many years. The boards are very well planed, and the cuts precisely with everything fitting into the set places with ease. The ends of the beds are made like a fence and adds a lot of beauty to the piece. The size of the garden bed is about 8 feet by two feet by a foot tall. It has a lot of room for vegetables, flowering plants or a mixture of both. We have recently re done our back yard, and this garden bed in going in front of our covered porch. It will finish off the unfinished look beautifully. I was also impressed with the fact that it is very easy to put together with a very detailed instruction manual. Every piece of hardware you need to install your garden box is included. A bonus will be adding a layer of wood and weed block to keep out any unwanted weeds and cut down on the maintenance of the plants while they grow and blossom, leaving more time to sit and relax and enjoy the beauty. A cost effective way to build a garden box with excellent quality

I got the 3 tier wooden garden bed for my backyard. Since all my backyard are concrete, this garden bed will give me some spaces to plan some herbs, and veggies. There are multiple ways to setup the garden bed. I can stack the 3 levels together, or I can separate the 3 of them, and make them into 3 individual garden bed. So far I have setup the bottom tier. That's all I need for now.I am going to try it out the 1st tier, and see how does my herbs and veggies grow. Before I setup any more of the garden beds. This is super easy to assemble, took me about 10 mins. So far they seem pretty stable.Might need to wait until the winter season is over, see if the garden bed will stay together.

I have put together 4 garden planter sets in my backyard. This is the 4th of the four.PROS- Assembly was straight-forward and quick- Made of rot resistant cedar wood that usually lasts between 15-30 years- Vertical stacking allows for a more pleasing presentation of plants- Planter can be assembled to NOT stack and be arranged side-by-side insteadCONS- Wood that touches dirt (particularly wet ones) will eventually rot and need to be replacedOverall, nice little addition to the backyard for growing herbs and flowers that will likely look good in my parents' backyard (the flower seeds have not yet grown enough to take a nice photo)

Went together very fast pre-drilled holes. I put it together by myself, (not that I'm old but I am 70, an a great gammy.) Shipping was good packed securely, nothing broken all screws were there. If I'm still around next year I plan on getting me another. I've always had a pretty good plot for gardening, but moved to FL so raise gardening it is.

I ordered the 2 foot x 8 foot option--can't speak for the other versions.Normally I buy the "deep root" cedar beds from Gardener's Supply Co (15" deep)...which, if you can afford them, are outstanding. But my budget couldn't accommodate any more of those this year, and I still needed a couple of raised beds for my shallower-rooted crops. I needed to find something cheaper that would last, if not a lifetime, at least for a couple of years. First I considered the Greene's Fence tongue-in-groove type kits, and their many knockoffs, most of which had pretty bad reviews due to flaws with the "hardware free" design. Then I saw these, which use actual screws to hold the boards together (a plus, imo). I figured I'd be able to jury-rig them if they turned out to have issues with warped boards or whatnot. So I decided to order two of them. My expectations weren't very high, but to my surprise, the beds actually turned out to be really decent! No warped boards, everything fit together perfectly...I didn't even need to use a mallet to get the boards into the corners. The wood is definitely "raw" and untreated (it's a little rough in places, so watch out for splinters), so I used Tall Earth eco safe wood preservative to paint all the boards before assembling the beds. After they dried, it took maybe half an hour to put each bed together...because there are a LOT of screws to put in place. My wrist got a little sore. Aside from that, the directions were very easy and I had no trouble with any of it. If you can't assemble them on site, be careful moving them as they're awkward. I found that standing "inside" the bed and holding it in the middle enabled me to walk it to its destination by myself.TL;DR -- these exceeded my expectations and I expect to order more of them.

I am so pleased with the quality of the product, and thought given to easy construction. I have purchased a couple of similar slats and posts wood products before. Those were "OK" but like another commercial running on TV says, do you really want just OK? Those had rough unfinished edges and were not as easy to assemble or with good counter sunk screws. Well done Giantex. Weird name, but great Raised Garden Bed Kit.

I really like this planter so far! It's cedar, really inexpensive, and extremely easy to assemble. Other reviews mentioned the bottom falling out from the weight of wet soil. I noticed several of the resolutions involved brackets which didn't seem to work. I chose to add two 1x3x46 inch cedar boards seen in the pictures. I screwed them into the planter at both ends and from above. I also flipped the cross boards upside down and screwed them into the supports as well. Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves. If the bottom fails after the upcoming season I will update this review, however, it feels very solid and I do not expect there will be issues. FYI the board was are available from Home Depot and cost less than $10.

Each one of these boxes (I bought four) requires 28 screws to hold them together. This is not a job for a simple screw driver. If I’d known; I would not have bought them.Days later, I bought a power screwdriver, which does what’s needed. Box one took a while to assemble. Do yourself a favor and tape the floor boards together so that they stay in place while assembling.Next day, The second box went together in an hour. Miraculous!Next day, Box number three was a problem because the floor boards seemed just slightly too big. Maybe the humidity caused the wood to swell. A second strong person was essential to help force everything into place. I’ll let you know how box four goes tomorrow.I used strapping tape on the lowest four inches of each leg to help protect from water & rot.The fourth container was easily assembled, so it was only one that was very difficult and needed the help and strength of a good helper.

Overall these raised bed gardens are very nice they are easy to put together with the instructions. There are a few drawbacks to this product. One drawback is these planters are made of cedar when it rains these things are like a sponge and soak up a lot of moisture, when this happens the pre drilled holes with the screws in them split off making the sides of the planters unstable. The second draw back is again the Cedar absorbs a lot of moisture and this product comes as untreated wood. I did not think of it before planting in them but if you buy these pretreat the wood with some sort of water repellent or you will face the same pitfalls I have. Returning the product at this point for me is not an option as I would have to remove the planted vegetables so I am at a loss. See pics and be wise pre treat.

I bought this elevated planter because I have a bad back and this enables me to tend to the garde more easily. My only suggestion to Giantex would be to add some bracing for the legs. I say this because I added casters for ease in rolling on my patio to follow the sun and the weight makes the box a litttle less secure when moving. I plan to add some extra supports myself. Having legs with a little more substance would also enable larger more substancial casters. Giantex might offer the casters as an option for those who have their planter on a rolling surface..Aside from these "recommendations" I like the raised planter and the fact that it is made of cedar wood. I would definitely recommend purchase.

I had read other reviews before I purchased it, so I just assumed I would have to reinforce it. I ended up purchasing a couple packets of brackets and improvising. After installing brackets it feels very secure. I don’t think it would have been super sturdy without reinforcing with additional hardware. The bottom comes in 4 panels you install. The wood is “real” but it’s not heavy duty or anything. For the price - this product is a good deal. When you buy it - assume you will need to install additional support. It’s a decent size and relatively easy to put together.

Wow, this is nice! After putting it together we weren't sure we wanted to put garden soil in it. :) It's real wood, sturdy, with no warping, and very easy to assemble. We highly recommend.

Just as I hoped. Good wood, all pieces there, good instructions - even had additional pieces for reinforcement with instructions. Sturdier than I expected. Used a sealer to protect the wood and have plants established. Thank-you.

Due to our yard being solid rock I was wanting to plant in raised beds but had a 50 ft strip to cover. These work great. I spray painted the top matt black just to make them hide in the dirt and not be obvious. Deep enough for 3 gallon plants. Seem good quality. Very simple to put together.

I purchased this to put in my front yard to fill with Milkweed plants for the Monarch butterflies (hopefully they will come up.) The box is attractive and it only took my husband 5 minutes to put it together. I plan on purchasing 2 more this spring so I can plant some more flowers.

Awesome vegetable garden. Calculated the cost of wood compared to the cost of product comment and it was a no-brainer. Made sure to put heavy coat of outside polyurethane on it, because it's not pressure treated wood. Looks beautiful so many neighbors have commented on it.

This is a really nice standing garden. My son put two of them together and it was fairly easy. They look great on our patio and our vegetables are growing like crazy. Got these for the square foot gardening method and they work well for that. Makes gardening so much easier and gentler on the back :) The price for these was extremely reasonable and the cedar wood holds up well during heavy rain. We put landscape gardening fabric and river rocks in the bottom to protect our wood deck -- also because we only needed 6" of Mel's Mix for the square foot gardens. Would definitely recommend these to anyone interested in standing gardens.

Assembled by myself in 30 minutes with a regular old screw driver. (Note: our electric screwdriver was too wimpy because there are no pilot holes. A drill would have made assembly faster, but ours had a dead battery and I couldn't wait)No complaints about the quality, but we'll see how it holds up to the elements. I did treat the exterior with a non-toxic oil stain before putting it outside. The 3 drain holes on the bottom are about a quarter in size, which made me worry about soil loss. I ended up lining with landscape fabric. It took just under 6 cu ft of soil to fill up the 22" wide box. For me, it was a HUGE 3 cu ft bag plus two large 1.5 cu ft bags.
