I bought this just because it was weird. I use it on my desk to hold pens and every time I look at it, it makes me laugh inside. It's cute and looks just like the picture. I don't normally buy stuff like this but I'm glad I did.

I didn't have much expectations when I purchased this Groot plant pot. But when it arrived, I was very pleasantly pleased. It's actually very detailed and life like. It has a hole on the bottom for water to run through. It's a good fit for small succubus plants or other small plants. I put a small snake plant in there and it's so cute! My only regret is that I didn't buy more at the time, because I wanted to check out the quality first. So, when it finally arrived and seeing how nice it was, the price almost doubled for the pot! Even then, the money is well worth it.

Groot is smaller than imagined. it is adorable but small: more like a small succulent plant would be perfect. Lots of character in the face and sweet eyes! Lovely gift but much smaller and a little cheap looking as far as paint work and production. A cute small gift for a friend or for self with cuteness and character

What can I say? I'm a simple creature and this makes me stupid happy. I keep his little face on my home desk and he makes working a little less miserable sometimes. My cat sees Groot as the enemy and has attempted to defeat him many times. Though the plant he held did eventually fall in battle, Groot has lived on to shelter plants anew.

You still have to out this in a pot of some sort. It's all hollow at the bottom and won't hold a plant in its own.. Adorable and well made though and I'd still buy again.

These things are so stinkin' cute! I bought them as "stocking stuffers" for my (adult) kids and their friends, but I'm keeping one for myself (^o^). I'm going to put an air fern in mine, but I'm sure that everyone will find their own unique use.They are made of some type of rosin material so, altho the box arrived via USPS in DISMAL condition, the little guys were unharmed.

It did take a slow boat from China to get to me, but it is a nice little planter/holder. My wife got into MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) a couple years ago, and Baby Groot may be her favorite character. She also likes growing plants, so I thought I'd buy one of these for her. Looks as good, if not better than what the pictures show here.

Ordered this as a gift for my son. It was cheap so I was a little worried how the quality would turn out. Then when I seen the delivery date I almost canceled. I placed the order on July 5th. Expected delivery was between July 26th and August 16th. But I’m happy to say that was pleasantly surprised. The quality of this is GREAT for the price. It’s sturdy yet lightweight and super cute. Not to mention I got it July 21st. WAY before expected delivery date. The details in this are great.

I got this for my office desk...it's a pretty awesome gift as well. My only reason for 4 starts is that there are some pics where it looks much larger than it really is. Look at the dimensions first just to make sure it's the size your thinking it is because it's actually pretty small. I could barely fit a small succulent in there but once I got it in, it looks pretty neat.

It’s a great gift, but the colors are not anywhere near what they appear to be in the photos. They’re all muted and the black outlines around the features and defining the lines in the bark aren’t even there. You could always take a fine point Sharpie for definition.Great gift for the price, but don’t expect it to be exactly like the picture.Overall, it’s sturdy and does have a hole in the bottom for draining just in case it’s used at a planter.

I didn't read the item specs very well before purchasing, so I did not realize how small this would be. The image online is misleading with yellow flowers. My attached image demonstrates that you can actually use this for live plants, but you have to be choosy. Mine are cuts from a larger plant that I'm starting in water. I lined his head with a plastic baggie to keep the water contained. Overall, this is a happy Lil guy to keep on the table.

It's the cutest little Groot! You can put from pens to mini flowers in it!!I have it next to my bed stand and I place my small bose remote control and my sunter fan remote control. that's how useful it is!! Really just make it your own. Love it!!!

I use this as a pen holder on my desk at work. Everyone comments how cute it is. It has a little drain hole to use as a planter, which I believe is it's true purpose...it's not that big, so I'm thinking a small succulent would do best. Very cute item!!

I love it but it was much smaller than i envisioned. I bought what I thought was a tiny potted succulent plant and it just barely fit inside. also you have to water very slowly as the water will run through very quickly. I don't think that the flowers pictured in this planter are real. and that's not a bad idea. I just wanted to have a living plant.

Too cute! Not big but I didnt expect it to be big and I wanted to put it in my kitchen window so it's the perfect size. Everyone thinks its adorable and its rubber not plastic so I am happy with the material it's made of.

Super cute sitting on my desk. I really like it. Only thing is it’s a little thin in a couple areas. Looks like it could develop a hole. Maybe I’m just paranoid. Over all I am happy with it :)

Great product, color is a bit on the pale gray side with a brown tint though. The arm that should be resting flat on a surface is permanently bent up a bit unfortunately. But overall a good product. There is a drain hole in it that you will want to plug if you don’t want water to drip out if planing something in the head. I planted a succulent and it looks awesome!

My wife got a silly kick saying, "I am Groot" (Yea, one of those), she thought the guy was adorable. When I saw this I had to get it for her, she had no idea it was coming so she had no visual reference of what it was. As soon as I gave it to her, she said, "Oh my goodness he is adorable," walked to her desk, pulled the pens out of the pen holder and put them in this little guy! Overall the product is cute. The color isn’t nearly as rich as the picture. They looked pretty washed out and not as “classy” as I would like. The packaging arrived looking like it had been used as a soccer ball and I fully expected everything in the box to be broken. In spite of the fact that the only padding was a square of styrofoam in the bowl of the product, everything was intact. While cute in theory I’m afraid it just didn’t quite live up to my expectations.

This little Groot planter is just as adorable in person as it is pictured in the description. We covered the hole in the bottom of the pot, filled it with aquarium rocks and "planted" an air plant in it. This made an excellent Father's Day gift for a dad who is a renown plant assassin. The planter certainly looks as though it is made of plastic, but it is cute and fun. Dad loved it.

This was an impulse buy for me and I absolutely love it! Perfect for an office space or at home. It fits small plants, succulents, and pens. Since it's plastic and the bottom is hallow, it slides on glass and marble surfaces so I would put it on a non stick pad or a cork board pad if you are using live plants. There is a tiny hole in the middle so water can escape which is a huge plus. I will definitely be buying it again as a gift.

This little Groot Tree Man is SO cute! I bought a package of two "YEDREAM Artificial Hanging String Of Pearls Plant" here on amazon.com to put in him and it looks like his hair. He's sitting on top of my printer and he's going to be the Guardian of MY Galaxy. He's made very sturdy and painted very well. He will withstand many washings if needed. I'm very glad I bought him.

I absolutely love this thing! I use it as a pen holder and it works well. It sits nice and flat on my counter and holds several pens. The more pens you put in, the worse they fit, as the ones on the outside tend to sit higher in the cup than the ones in the middle. I have probably 15 pens / pencils / markers in it

I didn't know what to expect from this product, as it is made in China, but I like the look and took a chance. For starters, it's now being sold at a MUCH better price than last year (I think I saw it up for $40.), so that helped a lot in making a decision. So... it is made VERY well, the design is adorable, but even better is that it actually looks better in person than in the photos. I was very surprised. That rarely happens. The eyes are especially emotive. The other thing that I had failed to realize, but was very happy to find... was that it has a drainage hole, which really helps. So now I just have to decide how I want to use this. Maybe a succulent, or perhaps, and more amusingly, chives... to give him a tall, appropriately green hair-do. I absolutely love it. And, I got one for my girlfriend, who also totally loved it.

While this is totally adorable, the planter is very small. The size is listed as 6" but do not think that is the space for plants. We gave this as a housewarming gift, and I was able to plant one small basil plant in it. Super cute, just very small plant space.

I got this Groot planter mostly because it was cheap and was featured on the amazon home screen. I ended up gifting it to my mother who loved the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. She absolutely loved it. It is on the small side (I knew this buying it-- so no complaints here), so one type of flower would work best I believe. Our Groot is now guarding our garden!

It’s really adorable. Sturdy plastic. Can be used as a planter or pen or paintbrush holder. It is small but perfect for succulent plants or for herbs. Just read the measurements. The second picture I posted shows a gallon jug behind the plants for size. Hope that helps overall I would highly recommend for any Groot fan.

I love, love, love, “Grooot!” This is the cutest thing on my shelf. I get a smile on my face every time I go in the kitchen. Cleverly designed to hold whatever you want. I put yellow Gerber Daisy’s similar to the pictures. NOTE: it doesn’t come with them. Also have other colors I switch out to fit the season. Great gift item. Love it!

For the price, it's a good product. The paint job leaves a lot to be desired, but there is so much detail in the figure that can be brought out. I decided to repaint it myself and I couldn't be happier with the results. I am no artist by any means, but it's really not hard to make this thing look incredible with a little time and effort. I still may add fake leaves and fake moss before I gift it to a friend. I may buy another one to repaint for myself.

The photo on Amazon is not a good representation of what you actually get, i.e.: amazon photo makes it appear that there is texture and shading on the eyebrows, lips and body to make it look more realistic. If you look closely at the photo I uploaded, you’ll see that it’s just a hunk of molded plastic with painted in eyes and green paint on the top and bottom winding vines. Very disappointed. I put it back in the box and shoved in the back of my closet.

Once I saw it, I couldn't help but get it! Mine arrived very well packaged and in perfect condition. I then bought an artificial plant to put in it, along with some small colored rocks to hold it in place, all purchased here through Amazon as well, and voila. It's a little small, but the perfect size for my desk. Love it!

Who doesn't love this adorable character from Guardians of the Galaxy. I decided to use it as a little planter that I have on my vanity. I added some rocks to the bottom to cover the hole on the bottom. I still put a towel underneath it when I water because it still comes out the bottom. Will look adorable on a desk or anywhere for that matter. Super cute. No doubt a few of my friends purchased one after I shared it.

After reading many reviews, I was so in love with the Groot I had to take a chance in ordering.. Being it is shipped from China it got to me pretty quickly. The packaging I can see how it would get broken, but mine was in one peice which I was happy to see. I filled the bottom with a few pebble to hold the soil in so it won't drain through the drain hole at the bottom... I absolutly love love love my new Groot and am so happy I decided to go for it, even after the negative reviews

Ok, this planter is so cute! It's bigger than I expected, so that was a pleasant surprise. It does have a drainage hole. I just wish that it was a bit more stable. His down arm doesn't lay flat on surfaces, so he wobbles when my table gets jostled.

This is super cute and very well made. The eyes are some kind of realistic eye resin, not paint, and the body is thick plastic. I am really surprised for $9 that this is so cute and well made. I put a $3 creeping Jenny in that I found at Walmart. It does have a drainage hole so you'll want to water it lightly or put a saucer underneath.

Everyone gives compliments on this... It's very durable heavy plastic and the color is bright and not worn looking. Great product.... I used mine as planters on my desk, just make sure to have something underneath it to catch water because the hole is right under the head and leaks down.

The item is an adorable gift, but is much smaller than you think it will be. Its made of hard plastic so its very sturdy, and even includes a small hole for drainage if its used as a planter pot. Its also more of a grey-ish color in person and not really brown. It will make a cute succulent pot, or something to hold pens in for an office.

Smaller than imagined or advertised. It says 6”. I’m a machinist, and if measured from the table, the highest point on his head hits 5.7 inches. Most other points are right around 5”. Wobbly. It doesn’t sit flat on the table and the arm doesn’t touch the table, so it rocks. Cute- but not worth $9.

My wife has been charmed by Groot since we saw the Guardians of the Galaxy film, so a pair of these planters was a perfect surprise gift. She planted small succulents in each of them and keeps them out where everyone who comes to the house can see them, and everyone so far has commented on how cute they are. I don't disagree. Suffice it to say we are not disappointed with this purchase, and I expect to see them around the house for a long time.

I bought it for my husband who happens to be a Guardian of the Galaxy fun. :) He complained the color is not like in the movie. I added some air plants and stones for decoration and put it in a vase. It seems to look better in natural environment. Strangely, this figure makes me think of little tree men from the X-files episode. Those who could mimic trees and become invisible. :)

I love this product but I pay close attention to detail.. and the details are nothing like the pictures listed. The eyebrows and mouth are not outlined in black and the red in one eye came out awful, also the detail in the bark does not have as much depth. Overall seems sturdy but the appearance could be much better, its sloppy.
